Today we have for your 27 photos and the fist featurette for the Coen brothers’ quirky, fun new movie, Gambit, a remake of the Michael Caine/Shirley MacLaine caper comedy from 1966.
The Michael Hoffman-directed, Joel and Ethan Coe written, the movie stars Colin Firth, Alan Rickman, Stanley Tucci and features Cameron Diaz as a quirky, scheming bumpkin.
Gambit opened November 21st, 2012 in the UK and will open sometime in 2013 in the US.
Here’s the synopsis for Gambit:
The story centers on British art curator Harry Deane (Firth) who devises a finely-crafted scheme to con England’s richest man and avid art collector, Lionel Shabandar, (Rickman) into purchasing a fake Monet painting. In order to bait his buyer, he recruits a Texas rodeo queen (Diaz) to cross the pond and pose as a woman whose grandfather liberated the painting at the end of WWII.
