Twisters is another movie that is set to be directed by Oscar-nominated director Lee Isaac Chung and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos. It revolves around a retired storm chaser, Kate Cooper, portrayed by Daisy Edgar-Jones, who returns to the field after being convinced by her childhood friend Javi, played by Anthony Ramos to check on a new tracking system. However, she soon meets the infamous budding storm chaser and a charming man named Tyler Owens, played by Glen Powell, who enjoys challenging the storms most.
When the storm season comes, the characters are drawn into the heart of a terrifying twist, with several storms forming over central Oklahoma. This awesome disaster movie has a reported budget of $200 million and promises to take the viewers right into the middle of the twister, thanks to superb visual effects and well-choreographed actions scenes.
Directed by Peter Jackson and produced by Frank Marshall who has worked on Jurassic and Indiana Jones' brands and Bourne movies alongside Patrick Crowley who has also worked on the Jurassic and Bourne brands. The script was developed by Mark L. Smith, the talented scriptwriter of one of the Oscar nominees, The Revenant.
Those who admired the first Twister which came out in 1996 with Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton in the lead roles will be glad to welcome the continuation of the story for a new generation. Although Twisters is not the direct continuation, it is to deliver the same level of adrenaline and incredible cinematography of the destructive force of nature.
