Marc Forster directed the whole thing from a script written by Matthew Michael Carnahan and Damon Lindelof, which revolves around Pitt's character – Gerry Lane.

In case you forgot, he:

…traverses the world in a race against time to stop a pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.

Beside Pitt, the rest of the World War Z cast includes Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, Matthew Fox, David Morse, and the movie is set to hit theaters on June 21st, 2013.
