The first trailer and poster for Tyler Perry‘s Alex Cross, the reboot of the I Alex Cross franchise, have been released online.
After Washington DC detective Alex Cross is told that a family member has been murdered, he vows to track down the killer. He soon discovers that she was not his first victim and that things are not what they seem.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:
“Crusading Detective/Psychologist ALEX CROSS (Tyler Perry) meets his match against the psychotic, mob hit man, MICHAEL SULLIVAN aka THE BUTCHER. As Cross investigates the hit man’s gruesome murders, Sullivan decides to send him a deadly message by murdering his wife in cold blood. Rob Cohen (The Fast and the Furious) is directing the film, which co-stars Rachel Nichols, Jean Reno, Edward Burns and John C McGinley.
Alex Cross opens on October 19th, 2012.
