It looks like (almost) everything is ready for
Horrible Bosses 2! We've just learned that the leading trio from the 2011 comedy –
Jason Bateman,
Jason Sudeikis and
Charlie Day will be back for the upcoming sequel, and that
Jamie Foxx is also in some serious talks to reprise his role from the original movie!
Seth Gordon directed the original film (which by the way grossed over $209 million worldwide during its theatrical run) and the film starred Bateman, Sudeikis and Day as a group of friends that decide to kill off each other's bosses (played by
Jennifer Aniston,
Colin Farrell and
Kevin Spacey).
Not much is known about the plot at this moment except that
Horrible Bosses 2 will have a brand new set of bosses. And although Farrell's character Bobby Pellitt died in the movie, there is apparently still room for Aniston and Spacey to make cameos.
The good thing is that
John Francis Daley and
Jonathan Goldstein, who stand behind the original script, are drafting the sequel, and that Gordon will also be back as director.
A
late-summer start is being eyed for the sequel, which will be produced by Brett Ratner and Jay Stern and executve produced by John Cheng.
Stay tuned for more!
