Besson’s MALAVITA Stars Production With Great Cast

Fiona May 31, 2013 Add a Comment
Michelle Pfeiffer Luc Besson has a new job, and trust me guys, even if your not his fans – Malavita is something that definitely looks great! Yeah, I know, even Malavita sounds exotic enough, and that's exactly the title of Besson's upcoming action comedy which will have an awesome (take that with big “A”) cast on board! Check out the rest of this report for more details about the whole thing, you won't regret it! So, let's start this report by saying that Malavita script is adapted by Besson from the book Badfellas written by Tonino Benacquista. The movie will center on the Manzonis, a notorious mafia family who gets relocated to Normandy, France under the witness protection program. While they do their best to fit in, old habits die hard and they soon find themselves handling things the “family” way. And now, that awesome cast from the beginning! Believe it or not, the movie will star Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Lee Jones, Dianna Agron and John D'Leo! We still know nothing about their characters, but I guess they're all the part of the Manzonis family. And if you ask me – that's more than enough! Malavita is set to go into production this summer, with filming set for August at La Cité du Cinéma, where the brand new Studios de Paris are located, while additional shooting will take place in Normandy, France and New York. EuropaCorp and Relativity Media are behind the project, and the film will bow in 2013 with Relativity handling US distribution. So, is this great or what? Robert De Niro
