BLUE CAPRICE In case you're not so familiar with the title, let us first inform you that Blue Caprice is an upcoming psychological thriller which comes from director Alexandre Moors, and is set to hit limited thaters next month. Inspired by the events known as the Beltway sniper attacks, the movie sends a quite simple message – some killers are born, others are driven to it. Definitely worth your attention, head inside to find more details and a brand new poster for the whole thing…
The striking feature film debut of writer-director Alexandre Moors, the movie (inspired by true events) will tell us the story of an abandoned boy lured to America into the shadows of a dangerous father figure. In other words, the movie investigates the notorious and horrific Beltway sniper attacks from the point of view of the two perpetrators, whose distorted father-son relationship facilitated their long and bloody journey across America. Inspired by the Beltway sniper attacks during which two men, John Muhammed and Lee Malvo, conducted a siege of terror on the Washington, D.C., area. Their method: a series of random shootings in public places. Their weapon: a sniper rifle, fired from the trunk of a blue Chevrolet Caprice.
Starring Isaiah Washington, Tequan Richmond, Joey Lauren Adams and Tim Blake Nelson, Blue Caprice documents the mechanisms that lead its subjects to embrace physical violence, and is set to open in limited release on September 20th, 2013 via Sundance Selects.
