The great new trailer for “The Dark Knight” comes from this past years Wizard World in Chicago. This trailer does not have much dialog but there is tons of action packed footage, even Batman tossing Joker (87 sec) and Two-Face at the end.
In the film, with the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman (Christian Bale) sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker (Heath Ledger).
The Dark Knight opens nationwide on July 18.
I HOPE THAT HEATH`S PERFORMANCE WILL BLOW EVERYBODY AWAY!
There’s lots to gawked at in this jawdropping trailer but one odd thing here is how it includes some dialogue that is different than in other trailers, particulary when Dent (Eckhart) asys to Wayne (Bale) “Rachel’s told me everything about you” and Gordon (Oldman) says “Nothing in his pockets but knives and lint”… no doubt, only one take would be used in the final cut; I wonder why these trailers include unused clips?
