A24 Unveils Chilling New Poster for ‘Bring Her Back’—And It’s as Unsettling as the Film Itself

24 has unveiled the latest Bring Her Back poster, setting the stage for what could be one of 2025’s most unsettling horror films. The imagery is disturbing, the mood is suffocating, and fans of Talk to Me should be very, very excited.

A24 Releases New “Bring Her Back” Poster—And It's Hauntingly Beautiful

A24 has just dropped a brand-new poster for Bring Her Back, the upcoming horror thriller from directors Danny and Michael Philippou (Talk to Me). If the poster alone is anything to go by, audiences should brace themselves for a deeply unnerving experience.

The film, starring Sally Hawkins, Billy Barratt, and Olga Miller, follows a brother and sister who uncover a horrifying ritual at their foster mother's home. While details remain cryptic, early footage shown to select audiences has already sparked intense reactions.

The Bring Her Back Poster—A Masterpiece of Subtle Horror

Bring Her Back Poster

Unlike the usual horror posters that rely on gore or ghostly faces, Bring Her Back takes a more restrained approach. The design features a shadowy, faceless figure, trapped in an eerie stillness, with muted colors that exude a sense of quiet dread.

It's the kind of poster that unsettles you without showing too much—just like the best horror films do. A24 is known for its artistic approach to horror marketing (Hereditary, The Witch, Midsommar), and this is another stunning example.

Fans have already started speculating on the imagery, wondering if the figure represents a ghost, a grieving soul, or something far worse. One thing's for sure—the film's themes of loss, trauma, and the supernatural are strongly reflected in this simple yet chilling composition.

A Taste of the Horror to Come

A24 recently held a private screening where a select group of journalists and influencers got a sneak peek at the film. The response? Overwhelmingly intense.

One particular scene involving a young boy, a cat, and an empty pool left the audience visibly disturbed. Another moment—a sequence involving food, a knife, and a disturbingly hungry character—pushed the tension to its limit.

Even Danny and Michael Philippou, who proved their horror chops with Talk to Me, admitted this project pushed them further than ever before.

“There's a lot more hardcore stuff in this movie,” they revealed. “It's even more intense than Talk to Me.”

The Real-Life Tragedy Behind the Story

Horror often taps into real fears, and Bring Her Back is no exception. The Philippou brothers revealed that part of the film's emotional depth comes from a deeply personal tragedy.

“While we were writing, my cousin lost her two-year-old,” Danny Philippou shared. “I saw her holding the child, the whole family surrounding them. And the idea of never letting go… that grief cycle became the heart of the film.”

This emotional core may set Bring Her Back apart from other horror films—it's not just about scares; it's about how we cope with loss, and what happens when we can't move on.

A24's Next Horror Masterpiece?

With the film currently 95% complete, Bring Her Back is nearing its final touches, with sound design and music wrapping up.

Horror fans won't have to wait long. Bring Her Back hits theaters on May 30, 2025—and if the poster and early footage are anything to go by, it's going to be one of the most unforgettable horror experiences of the year.

Why This Poster Works So Well

  • Minimalism creates maximum fear – The less you see, the more you imagine.
  • Hints at grief and trauma – The film isn't just about scares; it's about emotional horror.
  • A24's signature style – Elevated, artful horror marketing at its best.

The countdown to May 30, 2025 begins. Will you dare to watch?
