Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver Join The Cold Light of Day
Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver have joined the cast of Mabrouk El Mechri's upcoming project titled The Cold Light of Day.
The movie is being described as kidnapping thriller, and already stars “The Tudors” Henry Cavill as “a young American whose family is kidnapped while on a vacation to Spain.
He's left with only hours to find them, uncover a government conspiracy and the connection between their disappearance and his father's secrets.”
Bruce Willis will play Cavill's father while Weaver will be playing against type as someone involved with the kidnapping plot, or, if you prefer – the villain.
Filming is expected to begin this September, and Scott Wiper (from “The Condemned”) and John Petro wrote the original script which Richard Price (from “Freedomland”) is finessing.
Pretty interesting cast, indeed, and pretty busy actors as well.
Let us remind you that Willis is currently attached to the video game adaptation Kane & Lynch, the indie crime drama Catch. 44, Antoine Fuqua's prison escape drama The Tomb, and, like that's not enough to Rian Johnson's sci-fi flick Looper.
On the other hand, Weaver has Abduction and Red Lights bookmarked.
For all fans, little reminder, Bruce Willis will next be seen in The Expendables and as the lead in the action movie Red.
Sigourney Weaver will next be seen in the sci-fi comedy Paul with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as well as the Kristen Bell romantic comedy You Again.
