The monster success of girly vampire pic Twilight at the US Box office last weekend could kick open the door for a big-screen return of Joss Whedon's much-loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Rumours are circulating in Hollywood that Whedon has a feature-film script based on his hit TV series ready to roll as soon as a studio is prepared to commit.The original television series of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” follows the story of Buffy Summers, a young woman fated to battle against vampires, demons and other forces of darkness. The series which started its run in 1997 was starred by Sarah Michelle Gellar. The Buffy concept was first unveiled as a movie in 1992 with Kristy Swanson taking the titular role.

Joss Whedon is planning to resurrect Emmy-Award Winning American cult television series “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” on the big screen, an Australian newspaper has claimed.

Honestly, I love this show to death! but I don’t want there to be a movie cause you get attached to the actors from the show and if he plans on having different actors playing them, I will not go see it. Who’s gonna play spike? James Marsters is obviously too looking to play a vampire who isn’t suppose to age! and smg will probably not come back as buffy.
if a new buffy film is to be made i soo want 2 see buffy and spike get 2gether , maybe spike becomes Mortal again ..would be pretty cool
