Time to scream! Three new pics and another trailer for the upcoming Carrie movie have arrived just in time to remind you that MGM/Screen Gems’ remake opens in less than two months. As you already see, Chloe Moretz looks more like Alfred Hitchcock’s heroine Marion Crane than that shy, telekinetic girl from a small town, but what the hell… let’s give her a try!
As we previously reported, Kimberly Peirce directs this reimagining of the classic horror tale from a script written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, which is based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King.
They already say that a script is more faithful to King’s original novel. Hm, we’re not so convinced, but as I said – we’ll give them a try.
After all, the cast looks promising, and beside Moretz, includes Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Alex Russell, Gabriella Wilde and Ansel Elgort.
The movie is set to hit theaters on October 18th, 2013, and follows:
…Carrie White, a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother, who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
