Cate Blanchett and Mia Wasikowskato to Debut as Directors of Australian Anthology THE TURNING

Mia Wasikowska Another Australian anthology film is about to move into production. As you probably remember, we already had a little chat about that Sydney Unplugged project, which will also have an interesting team on board, but today we're here because of a completely new movie, an adaptation of Tim Winton‘s collection of short stories The Turning. What definitely sounds interesting about the whole thing is that some well-known names like Cate Blanchett, Mia Wasikowska and David Wenham will make their directing debut with this project, together with directors Benedict Andrews, Jonathan auf der Heide, Tony Ayres, Shaun Gladwell, Rhys Graham, Justin Kurzel, Ian Meadows, Yaron Lifschitz, Claire McCarthy, Ashlee Page and Stephen Page.

The Turning

They will all handle a separate chapter of the book, and according to the latest reports, the linking and overlapping stories, while self contained, will explore the extraordinary turning points in seemingly disparate but connected people's lives. I'm definitely interested in more details about the whole thing, so with every new update on this one – we'll be back. Stay tuned! Cate Blanchett
