Chris Evans is one busy guy. Snowpiercer, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, just name it – he’s already on board! But we’ve just learned that Evans is set to direct (yes, direct!) and star in an upcoming indie movie 1: 30 Train, which reportedly has nothing to do with the above mentioned projects. Read: it’s going to be a romantic drama! Or something like that…
So, at this moment we know that Evans will direct 1: 30 Train from a script written by Ron Bass, which revolves around two strangers who meet in Manhattan and spend one night together.
The good thing is that Evans is (once again) on board to play a romantic hero: a down-on-his-luck saxophone player who helps a young woman in need and end up falling for her. So cute!
Or, as TheWrap reports, the story follows two people who meet in a train station and share a night of romantic adventures before the woman must catch the next train back to New York. The conflicts in their own lives become the basis for their exploration of each other and themselves.
Wonderland Sound & Vision will finance and produce the whole thing with Baldwin Entertainment, while producers include Wonderland’s McG and Mary Viola, Howard and Karen Baldwin, Bill Immerman and Evans.
Production on 1: 30 Train will start this fall before Evans reprises his role as Captain America in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, so I guess we’ll soon have more updates to share.
Make sure you stay tuned!
