Chris Hemsworth Eyed For CANDY STORE
Chris Hemsworth, the 29-year-old actor who grew up in an Aboriginal community is probably not accustomed to candy store, but he's going to have to get used to it.
All jokes aside, Hemsworth has an offer to join Candy Store, a crime drama that already has interested Brad Pitt, Jamie Foxx, Denzel Washington and Christoph Waltz all being offered roles with Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Bradley Cooper.
New thriller that the Oscar-nominated writer of Traffic, Stephen Gaghan is writing and directing follows an elite, undercover agent who finds his life fall to pieces and must start over from the beginning as a beat cop in Brooklyn. He discovers that the organization he used to work for is operating right in his neighborhood.
There's no start date on the production yet, but now that Hemsworth is on board, you can expect Gaghan to fill out the rest of the cast pretty soon.
In addition to Candy Store, Hemsworth is also being eyed for a role in the Jerry Weintraub-produced Steve McQueen biopic, Triumph AKA 40 Summers Ago, a project that already has Hemsworth's younger brother Liam attached.
The film follows the true story of McQueen and his relationship to his stunt double, Bud Elkins with Brandon and Philip Murphy writing the script.
Still, I'm wondering why this dude recently declined an offer to co-star in American Assassin with Bruce Willis. I thought he was too busy, but obviously there's another reason. Have you got a clue?
