Colin Firth and Scarlett Johansson To Join James McAvoy In Danny Boyle’s Trance

Scarlett Johansson Another remake is coming, and this time it's going to be a remake of the 2001 British TV movie titled Trance. Interesting or not, this project definitely got our attention because of all that great names that are already being rumored for the possible roles. On the other hand, we're also interested to see how director Danny Boyle will handle this thriller. So, let's start our little chat. Trance or formerly ‘Trances' will follow an art heist that goes wrong when the mastermind behind the mission is injured and suffers from amnesia. Among the gang of thieves, he is the only one who knows the location of the stolen art and after the team begins to suspect that he might be faking the loss of his memory, a hypnotist is brought in to search his mind. Not bad at all. And now, about those above mentioned roles. At first moment Michael Fassbender was in talks for the leader of the robbers, while his X-Men: First Class co-star James McAvoy was in talks to play the amnesiac. Unfortunately, Fassbender has been forced to drop out because of the scheduling conflicts, and now it looks that director Boyle wants another great name – Colin Firth to replace him. But, that's not all! We also have an interesting competition when it comes to the female lead. Apparently, Scarlett Johansson is Boyle's top choice for the role of Elizabeth, but some other actresses are also in the race – Avatar star Zoe Saldana and French newcomer Mélanie Thierry. I guess that Johansson will not miss an opportunity to star alongside Colin Firth, so this could easily be the perfect duo for a remake. At the end, let me just mention that production on Trance is set to get underway this fall, and it will be edited in time for a 2013 release. And now, let us know what you think about this casting -rumors. Who would you like to see in Trance?
