Mass Hysteria Entertainment Company, Inc. has optioned the rights to the action screenplay,
End of the Gun written by
Chuck Hustmyre and to be directed by
Daniel Zirilli (LOCKED DOWN, CIRCLE OF PAIN). Daniel Grodnik (POWDER, BOBBY) is producing for Mass Hysteria with Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb executive producing for Grindstone Entertainment. The start date is scheduled for late spring.
End of the Gun is the story of a one-time federal agent, now mall security guard, who saves the life of a woman being beaten in a parking lot and later finds himself on a collision course with a ruthless enforcer for a drug kingpin.
Zirilli stated,
“End of the Gun’ is a classic action thriller but very character driven. I look forward to working with the quality actors I’m sure will be attracted to this material.”
Grodnik said,
“Daniel has an exciting vision for this film. Additionally, Mass Hysteria and Grindstone have been discussing numerous projects and I’m delighted ‘END OF THE GUN’ is shaping up as our first project together.”
Grindstone is acquiring all North American rights while Cinema Management Group is selling the foreign language rights.
Additionally, Mass Hysteria has re-upped the option on the thriller “BAD MONDAY,” written by Richard Taylor. The company is currently in discussions with a director and has the script out for casting.
