David O. Russell Testing Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Lawrence, Rachel McAdams, Kirsten Dunst for The Silver Linings Playbook

Olivia Wilde As you see in our title, the things with the upcoming David O. Russell‘s project titled The Silver Linings Playbook are getting serious. So no wonder almost every day we hear some interesting rumors about this movie and the possible cast. By now, you know that Fighter star Mark Wahlberg is attached to star as the lead, but now we need to find the female lead logicaly. THR reports that Russell is intensely screen-testing the following in-demand actresses in Los Angeles starting today and going into the weekend: Elizabeth Banks, Kirsten Dunst, Blake Lively, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams, Andrea Riseborough and Olivia Wilde. Jennifer Lawrence All of them are interested in the role which is described as “a depressed woman who, when her husband dies, goes on a sexual spree, even at the cost of her job. She befriends the man and becomes his love interest.” In addition to the above mentioned list, it looks that Jennifer Lawrence is also “in the running” although, at this moment “that is unclear”. Let me remind you that The Silver Linings Playbook will follow “Pat Peoples (Wahlberg) who is down on his luck. The former high school history teacher has just been released from a mental institution and placed in the care of his mother. Not one to be discouraged, Pat believes he has only been on the inside for a few months – rather than four years – and plans on reconciling with his estranged wife.” At the end, let me add that shooting will start in August, and by then we definitely expect to hear the rest of the cast, so make sure you stay tuned for more updates on this one!
