I bet all that same-sex marriage thing was (nothing more than) just a good marketing for the upcoming Ender's Game movie. Director Gavin Hood stands behind this epic adventure, which is based on Orson Scott Card‘s novel of the same name and centers on an unusually gifted child who is sent to an advanced military school in space to prepare for a future alien invasion.
Young Asa Butterfield plays the above mentioned boy who is pulled out of his Earth school to join International Fleet and attend the legendary Battle School in Space (they are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer).

Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military's next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he's trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.
Also starring Ben Kingsley, Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin, Viola Davis, Nonso Anozie, Stevie Ray Dillmore, Andrea Powell (and more), Ender's Game is set to hit theaters on November 1st, 2013.
