Eva Mendes is set to star in Ryan Gosling‘s upcoming directorial debut How To Catch a Monster. Nothing to be surprised about, love is in the air! But, let’s not forget to mention that Rob Zabrecky will, together with Mendes, join the cast which already includes Christina Hendricks and Ben Mendelsohn. So, as we previously reported, Ryan Gosling will direct the movie from his own script which is set against the surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city, and follows a woman named Billy:
…a single mother of two, who is swept into a macabre and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town. Both Billy and Bones must dive deep into the mystery, if their family is to survive.
Christina Hendricks is already on board to play that Billy-lady, and now, thanks to BD, we know that Eva Mendes will come on board to play character named Cat – described as a prominent figire of the Big Bad Wolf Club, while Rob Zabrecky is set to play a cab driver.
How to Catch a Monster starts shooting this May, so I guess we’ll soon have more updates to share.
