First Look At Maggie Gyllenhaal, Domhnall Gleeson & Well… Michael Fassbender In FRANK!
I know, I know, you’re still wondering where Michael Fassbender is. Well, he’s apparently that guy with that thing on his head, standing next to Maggie Gyllenhaal and Domhnall Gleeson. This definitely looks strange, but hey – at least we can say that we have the first official image from Lenny Abrahamson‘s upcoming comedy simply titled Frank. Written by Jon Ronson and Peter Straughan, and directed by Lenny Abrahamson, the movie follows young wannabe musician who discovers he’s bitten off more than he can chew when he joins an eccentric pop band led by the mysterious and enigmatic Frank.
Oh, eccentric! See, that’s why Fassbender looks like an idiot!
Frank is based on the memoir by Jon Ronson and is a fictional story loosely inspired by Frank Sidebottom, the persona of cult musician and comedy legend Chris Sievey, as well as outsider musicians like Daniel Johnston and Captain Beefheart.
Michael Fassbender (obviously) plays Frank, Maggie Gyllenhaal is his terrifying sidekick Clara, and Domhnall Gleeson stars as that young wannabe musician named Jon. The rest of the cast includes Scoot McNairy, Carla Aza and Francois Civil.
Frank is still without an official release date, but, as usual – we’ll keep you updated!
