Lucky Them, the latest movie from director Megan Griffiths, will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival next month. Today, we're here to share the first (official) pics with Toni Collette who (in case you're not so familiar with the project) stars as a rock journalist assigned to track down her ex-boyfriend. Griffiths directed the whole thing from a script written by Huck Botko and Emily Wachtel, which follows a rock journalist named Ellie Klug, who is tasked with the painful assignment of exploring her own past.
Joined by eccentric would-be documentarian Charlie, she sets out on an emotional treasure hunt in order to finally rid herself of her “ghosts” and get on with her life.
Beside Collette who plays Ellie, the rest of Lucky Them cast includes Thomas Haden Church as Charlie, Ryan Eggold, Oliver Platt, Nina Arianda and Ahna O'Reilly.
At the end of this report let us also mention that Griffiths, (who stands behind last year's drama Eden and 2011's The Off Hours) will be making her TIFF debut with Lucky Them.
