Warner Bros. has released the first official one-sheet poster design for director
Ben Affleck‘s Oscar-hopeful
Argo.
Affleck's giant face covered with his beard is split into two by the title on red film strip complete with the hostages trying to escape under the appearance of a fake sci-fi movie.
Due to the early buzz from TIFF Big Ben beat himself here.
Affleck directs the film and stars in it as CIA exfiltration specialist named Tony Mendez who led a covert operation to liberate six hostages from the American embassy in Iran by developing a fake movie project called Argo to get them safely out of the country.
A dynamite cast includes
Bryan Cranston,
Alan Arkin and
John Goodman along with
Kyle Chandler, Victor Garber,
Tate Donovan,
Philip Baker Hall,
Chris Messina, and many more.
Argo comes to theaters on October 12th, 2012.
