The post-apocalyptic wastelands of Mad Max are calling once again with the arrival of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga on Max, starting August 16th. Directed by the visionary George Miller, this prequel to the critically acclaimed Mad Max: Fury Road delves into the backstory of one of the franchise's most iconic characters – Furiosa. While the film's theatrical release garnered mixed box office results, pulling in just over $168 million globally, it has continued to build a loyal following through VOD. Now, it's ready to conquer the streaming world.

In Furiosa, we witness the harrowing journey of a young Furiosa, portrayed by Anya Taylor-Joy, as she navigates a world that has crumbled into chaos. Snatched from her home, the Green Place of Many Mothers, she falls into the clutches of the ruthless Biker Horde led by Warlord Dementus, played with chilling intensity by Chris Hemsworth. As Dementus clashes with Immortan Joe, the tyrant of the Citadel (played by Lachy Hulme, taking over from the late Hugh Keays-Byrne), Furiosa must endure brutal trials and face impossible odds in her quest to return home. The narrative spans an epic fifteen years, chronicling her transformation into the fierce warrior we meet in Fury Road.

The film's star-studded cast includes Tom Burke, Quaden Bayles, Alyla Browne as the young Furiosa, and returning Fury Road actors Nathan Jones and Angus Sampson. With Miller's signature blend of high-octane action and compelling storytelling, Furiosa is set to captivate fans of the franchise once again.

Whether you missed it in theaters or are eager to experience it again, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga promises to be a thrilling addition to your streaming queue. Get ready for a wild ride through the wastelands when it hits Max on August 16th. Don't miss out on this explosive chapter of the Mad Max legacy!
