With a little help from fellow producer Grant Heslov, The Bourne Ultimatum helmer Paul Greengrass will direct George Clooney in a new crime thriller.
Clooney signed on to both produce and play the lead. The project is in development at Sony Pictures, where Clooney and Heslov's Smoke House banner still has a first-look deal.
Details of Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio‘s script, an original story set in the world of New York criminal syndicates, are being kept under wraps.
Smokehouse Pictures producers Heslov and Clooney are reteaming with Terrio, who became an in demand writer due to Argo, which has become an Oscar frontrunner.
Terrio got his start co-writing and directing his first feature-length film, Heights (Sony Pictures Classics, 2005). Oh and I almost forgot to mention the English-language remake of the French thriller Tell No One, he is writing for Warner Bros.
