Hello! The first poster for “Joker: Folie à Deux” is out, featuring Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker and Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn in a striking dance pose.
The film, set to release on October 4, 2024, will have its first trailer out on April 9. Directed by Todd Phillips, this sequel is rumored to be a musical, and will not be a part of the DCU, but rather, DC Elseworlds. Fans have mixed opinions about the first movie, with some praising Phoenix’s performance and the gritty realism, while others criticized the writing and found the movie overrated. The sequel’s budget is reportedly more than double the original, and it’s expected to bring action and musical elements.
The film follows the legacy of the first Joker film, which grossed over $1 billion at the global box office atop scoring a Best Picture nomination at the Oscars at the same ceremony Phoenix won Best Actor for his leading performance.
