Romance in the air again, but this time with an upcoming project
Something Borrowed based on
Emily Giffin‘s debut novel.
This movie will be directed by
Luke Greenfield from a script by
Jennie Snyder Urman, and you can guess a lot of things by the title, right? Get ready for a wedding then!
So the story is about lady Rachel White, a young attorney living and working in Manhattan, who has always been the consummate good girl-until her thirtieth birthday, when she ends up falling in love with her best friend's fiancé.
We must ask you, do you already have a clue who will play a beautiful, bratty bride who gets everything she wants? Let us refresh your memory – she already had this kind of role last year? Yeah, yeah, you guessed it well – it's
Kate Hudson!
So, there you go, Hudson will play character named Darcy, and looks like Emily Giffin is more than excited with this decision saying:
“It's official!!!! Kate Hudson will be playing Darcy! I know she doesn't physically resemble Darcy, but I think she is perfect for this role and will knock this out of the park. She is gorgeous and can play manipulative and self-absorbed, yet charming and vulnerable…. I am thrilled and hope you are too!!”
Yeah, well, we're already used to this kind of roles, so why not? However, we should definitely mention that one thing Kate has never really done before – played the villain, and it will be interesting to see her in role like this.
What we already knew is that
Ginnifer Goodwin is playing Rachel White who, as we mentioned falls for Darcy's handsome fiancé. And if you wonder who that handsome fiancé is, we're here to give you the answer.
We're pretty sure you remember him from Melrose Place, and his name is
Colin Egglesfield. We could also add that
John Krasinski will play the role of trusted friend and confidante named Ethan.
Filming starts next month, and the film is produced by Alcon-based 2S Films.
If you're in romantic-mood, then you're probably looking forward for this romantic comedy, and we definitely hope you like the cast. It could be fun, let's wait and see…
