A new version of Highlander is in the works according to Summit Entertainment, the people who will be bringing you “Twilight“.
Now comes word from the guys over at JoBlo that they may have found their new Connor McLeod. Scotsman Kevin McKidd (Rome, Trainspotting, Made of Honor) has been approached to take on the role.
The original film series revolves around a secret race of immortals who, over the course of centuries, constantly clash and cut each other's heads off with swords so they can absorb the special effects that spill from the decapitated bodies.
Summit Entertainment is behind the remake and producers have previously mentioned they would include medieval Scotland in their version of the story. McKidd was previously linked to the title role in Marvel's “Thor“.
