Finally a decent trailer for the upcoming Kick-Ass 2! Sorry, a red band trailer. Who cares, this extended video really looks great and gives us a much better look at Kick Ass, Hit-Girl, Colonel Stars and Stripes & let's not forget The Mother Fucker. Now I actually understand the fun-part of the story. I mean: he's little and he kills, let's call him Tumor? It's hilarious!
We already shared some great TV spots, a green band trailer and posters for the movie, so I'm sure you all remember that director Jeff Wadlow stands behind this superhero film, which is set to hit theaters on August 16th, 2013.
It stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Morris Chestnut, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison and great Jim Carrey, and revolves around the costumed high-school hero who joins with a group of normal citizens and together they… well, fight crime (read: The Mother Fucker and his own evil league).
In other words:
When we last saw junior assassin Hit Girl and young vigilante Kick-Ass, they were trying to live as normal teenagers Mindy and Dave. With graduation looming and uncertain what to do, Dave decides to start the world's first superhero team with Mindy. Unfortunately, when Mindy is busted for sneaking out as Hit Girl, she's forced to retire – leaving her to navigate the terrifying world of high-school mean girls on her own. With no one left to turn to, Dave joins forces with Justice Forever, run by a born-again ex-mobster named Colonel Stars and Stripes…
