Benedict Cumberbatch has already signed on to play Assange, and
James McAvoy is rumoured to be circling another key role of Daniel Domscheit-Berg, the writer of ‘Inside WikiLeaks; Linney has been cast in an unspecified role.
Bill Condon (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn) is reportedly directing from a script by
Josh Singer.
The three-time Oscar nominee, Linney is well known for her roles in The Truman Show, The Savages, You Can Count On Me, Kinsey, and television's The Big C. She will next appear alongside Bill Murray in Hyde Park on Hudson, which opens on December 7th, 2012.
