Say what you want, but Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom definitely looks promising. Justin Chadwick directed the movie from a script written by William Nicholson, which is based on the 1994 book Long Walk to Freedom by anti-apartheid revolutionary and former South African President Nelson Mandela.
The film chronicles Mandela's early life, coming of age, education and 27 years in prison before becoming President and working to rebuild the country's once segregated society.
Starring Idris Elba as Mandela, Naomie Harris as his wife Winnie, Tony Kgoroge, Riaad Moosa, Zolani Mkiva, Jamie Bartlett, Lindiwe Matshikiza, Deon Lotz, Terry Pheto, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is set to hit theaters on November 29th, 2013.
