During the press junket for
Death at a Funeral,
Martin Lawrence has revealed that he's had a meeting with
Will Smith and director
Michael Bay about a potential third movie in the
Bad Boys franchise.
“It's real realistic,” the comedian revealed to MTV News, addressing rumors that he'll re-team with Bay and the former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air once again. “We've talked about
Bad Boys 3.”
Any time you can get Big Willie to come out and talk about doing a third installment of a hot movie like Bad Boys, you have to take notice,
Lawrence explained.
I met with Michael Bay, and he said he's onboard too — so it's real.
Lawrence added,
I got Big Willie to come down and see me about the movie. I felt special, We're just waiting on Jerry Bruckheimer to let us know when it's really real.
Peter Craig is currently working on a script for
Bad Boys 3 for Columbia.
The first
Bad Boys earned $66 million domestically and $141 million worldwide and
Bad Boys 2 earned $138 million domestically and $273 million worldwide.
