Michael Bay Developing TOM CLANCY’S GHOST RECON For Warner Bros.

Ghost Recon
Ghost Recon From Transformers to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon! I'm sure that all military tactical shooters out there will be happy to hear that Michael Bay has signed on to develop the well-known video game into a potential film franchise at Warner Bros. Read: he plans to direct the whole thing, so you better get ready for (a potential) film franchise guys! So, this news comes straight from Variety, who report that Ubisoft is meeting with screenwriters to tackle Ghost Recon, with Bay overseeing its development through his Platinum Dunes production banner. They also add:
Should he spark to the script, he could direct the film. The goal is to hire screenwriters later this month and start attaching talent in July. Ubisoft has the rights to use Tom Clancy's name in the film title.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon video game (launched in 2001) puts the player in charge of the eponymous Ghosts – a fictional squad of US Army Special Forces team. Or, as Jean Julien Baronnet, CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures explaines:
These guys don't belong to any specific organization. They're in the field where the U.S. troops are not supposed to be. It's a small team with very strong personalities and very specific skill sets. They're using weapons nobody knows about but it's very grounded. It's not sci-fi.
Anyway, let us just add that more than 24 million Ghost Recon games have sold over the release of nine titles, four expansion packs and a Facebook game since 2001. So yes – this definitely sounds promising. Especially with Bay on board, hope you agree? [jwplayer mediaid=”158891″]

Ghost Recon Alpha – Official Film

Ghost Recon Alpha An elite squad of US Army soldiers uses intense training and high tech weapons to take down a dangerous Russian war criminal who has eluded capture for more than a decade in this tense espionage thriller. According to US intelligence, Boris Chevtchenko has hatched a plot to detonate a dirty bomb in the heart of Moscow. Should he succeed, the Russian capitol will be uninhabitable for centuries. The only hope of stopping Chevtchenko is The Ghosts, an elite squad of Future Soldiers capable of carrying out massive strikes with surgical precision. But as The Ghosts prepare to strike, they learn that the stakes are much higher than anyone, including their superiors, suspected. Now, stuck behind enemy lines with no choice but to fight, The Ghosts prepare to engage an adversary that's just as high-tech, heavily armed, and determined to succeed as they are.
