Michael Fassbender as Bobby Kennedy in Fernando Meirelles’ NEMESIS?
Get ready for another biopic guys! This time, we'll have 360 helmer Fernando Meirelles on board to direct project titled Nemesis, an adaptation of Peter Evans book Nemesis: The True Story of Aristotle Onassis, Jackie O, and the Love Triangle That Brought Down the Kennedys.
So, yes, we're talking about Onassis biopic, but as you see, the whole thing with actually center on the rivalry between Aristotle Onassis and Bobby Kennedy.
At one point Kennedy investigated the magnate's business practices and ended up getting him barred from trading in the United States, and the book goes as far as to assert that the conflict between the two escalated to the point where Onassis ended up financing Kennedy's assassination.
At this moment we also know that Bráulio Mantovani is behind the script, and that the movie will start shooting later this year for a 2013 release.
But what definitely sounds great about the whole thing is that Meirelles wants some seriously good (and handsome) cast for this project. I mean, let's just say it – “Making cast of Nemesis. How about [Michael] Fassbender for Bobby Kennedy?”
That's exactly what director wrote yesterday on his Twitter account.
Should we answer that one with “yes”?
