Michael Fassbender to Star in Daniel Espinosa Yakuza Movie THE OUTSIDER?
After his recently released and successful Safe House, director Daniel Espinosa already works on new project.
According to some reports Espinosa is in early talks to helm the WWII Yakuza film for now titled The Outsider.
The story centers on a World War II POW who is broken out of the camp by the Yakuza and is then forced to work for the Japanese crime syndicate.
Consider this a rumor but busy Michael Fassbender is being eyed to star in Warner Bros' upcoming movie. He would take the role of the the former prisoner-of-war.
So, the movie has a good story, put Fassbender in the lead role and you already have a film with a huge potential.
Still, no official offers have been made and when we know his busy schedule we'll just have to wait.
He's already on board for Ridley Scott's The Counselor, Steve McQueen‘s Twelve Years a Slave and Brendan Gleeson's directorial debut – adaptation of Flann O'Brien's Irish novel At Swim-Two-Birds which also stars Gabriel Byrne, Colin Farrell and Cillian Murphy.
He is also devleloping a project Irish Myths in which he'll play an Irish warrior named Cuchulain.
