The live-action adaptation of the popular video game franchise Borderlands is set to hit theaters on August 9, 2024, marking the beginning of the Borderlands Cinematic Universe (BCU). Directed by Eli Roth and written by Craig Mazin, the film boasts an impressive cast that includes Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more.

The official synopsis sets the stage for an epic adventure: “Lilith (Blanchett), an infamous bounty hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home, Pandora, the most chaotic planet in the galaxy. Her mission is to find the missing daughter of Atlas (Edgar Ramírez), the universe's most powerful S.O.B. Lilith forms an unexpected alliance with a ragtag team of misfits – Roland (Hart), a seasoned mercenary on a mission; Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Tina's musclebound protector; Tannis (Curtis), the oddball scientist who's seen it all; and Claptrap (Black), a wiseass robot.”

The newest character posters introduce us to some of the supporting cast, including Benjamin Byron Davis as Marcus, the tour guide no one asked for; Gina Gershon as the fan-favorite Moxxi; Janina Gavankar as Commander Knoxx; Olivier Richters as Krom; and Bobby Lee as Larry. These posters not only showcase the diverse and talented cast but also offer a glimpse into the unique personalities that inhabit the world of Borderlands.

As an added bonus, eagle-eyed fans might spot some Shift Codes hidden in the posters, which can be redeemed for in-game rewards in Borderlands 3. This clever marketing tactic is sure to delight both movie enthusiasts and gaming aficionados alike.

With its blend of action, humor, and a talented ensemble cast, the Borderlands movie is shaping up to be one of the most exciting releases of 2024. As we eagerly await its arrival, these character posters serve as a tantalizing appetizer, whetting our appetite for the chaos and adventure that awaits on Pandora.
