New Clip From The Soska Twins’ AMERICAN MARY
Writers/directors Jen and Sylvia Soska and one of their stars, Tristan Risk introduce an exclusive clip from American Mary for Total Film.
The film is hitting limited UK theaters January 11th, 2013 followed by a DVD/Blu-ray release on January 21st – a thriller not hitting the States until fall 2013.
Risk co-stars in the film with Katharine Isabelle as the bloodied American Mary who is featured in the clip.
Canadian horror played at LA’s Screamfest Horror Film Festival in October, where it won five awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Cinematography and Best Makeup.
AMERICAN MARY follows the story of medical student Mary Mason (played by Katharine Isabelle of the Ginger Snaps franchise) as she grows increasingly broke and disenchanted with medical school and the surgeons she once admired. The allure of easy money and notoriety send Mary into the shady world of underground surgery and body modification.
