Hi guys, here's another image for director Tim Burton's 3D stop-motion movie based on his famous 1984 short film, Frankenweenie is also a parody of and an homage to the 1931 film Frankenstein based on Mary Shelley's book of the same name.
As you already know young Victor conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, with just a few fine adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
Black and white film's voice cast includes some actors who previously worked with Burton, like Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice), Catherine O'Hara (The Nightmare Before Christmas), Martin Short (Mars Attacks!) and Martin Landau (Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow).
When filming began at Three Mills Studios in July 2010 many of the animation artists and crew from Corpse Bride are also involved.
Through 30 separate areas, centimeter by centimeter, crew move the ‘actors' that create a visual marvel, frame-by-frame style of filmmaking.
Rendered in 3D, Frankenweenie opens in cinemas on October 5th, 2012 with John Carter replacing the movie for the once planned March 9, 2012 release.
