As you already know, directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman stand behind this biopic which centers on Linda Boreman (aka Linda Lovelace), (ab)used by the porn industry at the behest of her coercive husband, before taking control of her life.

As Linda Lovelace she became an international sensation: less centerfold fantasy than a charming girl-next-door with an impressive capacity for fellatio. Fully inhabiting her new identity, Linda became an enthusiastic spokesperson for sexual freedom and uninhibited hedonism. Six years later she presented another, utterly contradictory, narrative to the world—and herself as the survivor of a far darker story.

Beside Seyfried, Lovelace also stars Peter Sarsgaard, Sharon Stone, Adam Brody, Juno Temple, James Franco, Robert Patrick and more, and the movie is set to open in limited theaters on August 9th, 2013.
