Walter Salles‘ flick
On The Road, the forthcoming big screen adaptation adaptation of
Jack Kerouac‘s literary classic of the same name.
For those not familiar with Kerouac's work, it chronicles a series of road trips that Sal Paradise (Kerouac's alter-ego) took with his free-spirited friends during the height of the beat movement.
Sam Riley stars as Kerouac's alter-ego Sal Paradise, a recent divorcee who hits the road with his best friend, Dean Moriarty (
Garrett Hedlund).
Kristen Stewart (Marylou, Dean's first wife)
, Tom Sturridge,
Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Steve Muscemi and
Elisabeth Moss round out the cast.
On The Road is scheduled to light up theaters December 21st, 2012.
