New Theatrical Trailer for Len Wiseman’s TOTAL RECALL

Everyone loves Total Recall — at least most popular movie websites reported that the new Total Recall trailer simply aims to blow you away with more action.

Well, I wanna be right there in that number! The new adaptation of Philip K. Dick's short story ‘We Can Remember It for You Wholesale' provides a very different approach in realizing a sci-fi dystopian near-future; a fight for land on a heavily polluted Earth in favor of powerful mutant race that has descended from Mars.

Scripted by Kurt Wimmer and Mark Bomback the story finds Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell) living in New Shanghai with his wife Lori (Kate Beckinsale). Bored with his staid existence, Quaid goes to Rekall, the company promising to implant real-seeming new memories into heads. But when the procedure starts, alarm switches: Quaid is not the man he used to be. Controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston), the leader of the free world — factory worker teams up with a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) to find the head of the underground resistance (Bill Nighy) and stop Cohaagen.

Digital effects, of course, give this movie the flying cars, robotic cops, and epic skylines that would not have been possible in the original, but yes that is a three-boobed prostitute.

Total Recall co-stars John Cho and Ethan Hawke and will be released on August 3rd, 2012.

Here's a new trailer for Sony's new version of TR.
