Two days after its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival a new trailer for director
John Wells’ thesp-heavy play adaptation of
Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winning play

The film stars the insane number of recognizable faces including the likes of
Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ewan McGregor, Benedict Cumberbatch, Margot Martindale, Chris Cooper, Dermot Mulroney, Juliette Lewis, Abigail Breslin, Sam Shepard, Julianne Nicholson and
Misty Upham.
Streep and Roberts play family matriarch Violet and her eldest daughter, while McGregor will portray Bill Fordham, the estranged husband of Barbara and son-in-law of pill-popping matriarch Violet.
This trailer shows a heartwarming story of familial reconciliation, and the incredibly dark, but also very, very funny film is likely to find itself as one of the titles competing in this year’s Oscar race.
