Remembered the last scene of the blockbuster movie of the last summer season? The last trailer for the realistic horror by Oz Perkins Longlegs with a tagline “The End” will leave the spectactors shivering. This horror film is anticipating the release in the theaters on July 12th, 2024, and it has been praised by horror movie lovers with opinions that it might be the best horror movie of the year and perhaps the decade.

Longlegs is a film by writer-director Oz Perkins who is popular for The Blackcoat's Daughter and the Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and starring actor Maika Monroe as the FBI Officer, Lee Harker. One day, Harker is presented with an enigmatic and uncompleted series of murders case. As she digs further, she begins to uncover signs of occult activities the key elements which reveal a shocking relationship with the brutal murderer. It is also crucial for Harker to take action immediately to prevent another murder from taking place.
The cast is also quite good, with Maika Monroe playing Lee Harker, a courageous and headstrong protagonist. Nicolas Cage, who also served as a producer, plays the part of the serial killer with his energetic and enthusiastic style of acting which makes the character enigmatic and demanding at the same time. Joined by Alicia Witt, Blair Underwood, and Dakota Daulby – the movie is even more intriguing than it initially seems to be.

It has now become a tradition for Cage to provide a tingling feeling down the spine with his serial killer voice, and in this final trailer, the audience gets but a glimpse. Of course it is still a poke to the heart, reminding audiences of Cage's acting range and his potential to portray the most vile ofcharacters. The trailer also introduces a set of dark and eerie mood of the film with Perkins' style of psychological horror that is combined with supernatural factors.



Longlegs has been made by a group of horror directors that include Nicolas Cage as well as Dave Caplan, Chris B. Ferguson, Dan is Kagan, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. To date, the film has not been showcased at any festivals, which of course, only heightens curiosity regarding the film.
