The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have unveiled four different posters for the upcoming
83rd Academy Awards, which best evoke Oscar night's iconic symbols: the red carpet, the searchlights, the envelope and, of course, the golden knight himself. For the first time, the public is invited to download the artwork to use as wallpaper and profile icons, and to share with friends. The images are available on the Academy's website,
www.oscars.org.
The 83rd Academy Awards nominations will be announced live on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at 5:30 a.m. PT in the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
The
83rd annual Academy Awards will be held on February 27, 2011 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood and aired live by the ABC Television Network.
James Franco and
Anne Hathaway have been billed to serve as hosts.
