Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for
Paranormal Activity 3, which seems to be a prequel, it's going backwards in time (to 1988, according to the time stamp on the camcorder footage) and will revolve around the two sisters Katie and Kristi, played by
Katie Featherston and
Sprague Grayden in the first two films.
This time, the producing team hired
Henry Joost and
Ariel Schulman (the guys behind ‘Catfish') to take the helm with
Christopher Landon back on screenwriting duties.
Paranormal Activity 2, which was released in theaters on October 22, has now taken in a total of $157 million on a $3 million budget. The original film grossed $193 million on a $15,000 budget.
Paranormal Activity 3 is set to hit theaters on October 21st.
