So, Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez are both on board for that Parker movie, after all? In case you still have any doubts about that (like we did 5 minutes ago), here's the first poster for the Taylor Hackford directed crime thriller which is already set to open next January!
Parker is based on the series of bestselling novels written by Donald E. Westlake, and beside Statham and Lopez, it also stars Michael Chiklis, Wendell Pierce and Nick Nolte.
The movie follows Statham's character – a professional thief named Parker who lives by a personal code of ethics: don't steal from people who can't afford it and don't hurt people who don't deserve it.
But on his latest heist, his crew double crosses him, steals his stash, and leaves him for dead.
Determined to make sure they regret it, he tracks them to Palm Beach, playground of the rich and famous, where the crew is planning their biggest heist ever.
Donning the disguise of a rich Texan, Parker takes on an unlikely partner, Leslie, played by Lopez, a savvy insider, who's short on cash, but big on looks, smarts and ambition.
Together, they devise a plan to hijack the score, take everyone down and get away clean.
Not some spectacular story, but the first poster for the movie looks just fine to me. Not to mention that they also make one hot couple together, so I'll give them a try.
Parker is set to open on January 25th, 2013.
