The series, which premieres on June 12, explores themes of “obsession, sex, politics and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together.” In addition to Gyllenhaal, the ensemble cast includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, and Elizabeth Marvel.
“Presumed Innocent” is executive produced by David E. Kelley, who also serves as writer and showrunner, and J.J. Abrams through his Bad Robot Productions. The first two episodes will be directed by Anne Sewitsky, with Greg Yaitanes directing the remaining six.
