Prometheus star
Rafe Spall and Canadian actress
Megan Park (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) have joined the cast of
Michael Dowse‘s romantic comedy
The F Word.
Spall and Park join previously announced cast members
Daniel Radcliffe, Zoe Kazan, Mackenzie Davis, Jonathan Cherry and
Adam Driver.
The rom-com written by
Elan Mastai and based on the play Toothpaste and Cigars by T.J. Dawe and Michael Rinaldi will shoot in Toronto and London for six weeks.
Radcliffe plays Wallace, a man who meets Kazan's Chantry at a party, and the two of them bond over fridge poetry, immediately becoming fast friends. Wallace is attracted to Chantry, and vice-versa – but there's the not-so-small matter of Chantry's boyfriend of several years. Wallace and Chantry work on building a friendship rather than a romance, with Wallace relegated to the F of the film's title – the friend zone.
Filming is scheduled to take six weeks, split between Toronto and Dublin or London and will begin shooting next week.
