Following the first teaser trailer for a sequel to the 2012 hit The Raid: Redemption, the first full trailer for writer-director Gareth Evan’s The Raid 2: Berandal is now online.
An upcoming Indonesian action-packed film which premieres soon at Sundance Film Festival, runs nearly two and a half hours so the trailer also lays out the story slowly and carefully before leading to a wide variety of action. But it looks even more gloriously violent than its predecessor and offers a glimpse at an epic brawl in a muddy prison yard.
Iko Uwais reprises his role as an action hero Rama who infiltrates the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force.
Arifin Putra, Alex Abad, Oka Antara, Tio Pakusadewo, Julie Estelle, Cecep Arif Rahman, Cok Simbara, Yayan Ruhian, Matsuda Ryuhei, Endo Kenichi, and Kitamura Kazuki are all part of the cast for this one.
The Raid 2: Berandal opens in US theaters on March 28th, 2014.
