Watch: RIDDICK ‘Blindsided’ Motion Comic, Produced & Directed By David Twohy

Hey Riddick fans, check out this great motion comic prequel, which will give you a much better look at the events between The Chronicles of Riddick and the upcoming sci-fi thriller. In this 5-minute video entitled Blindsided, our favorite Furyan ponders his fate as Commanders vie for the crown and assassins track his every move. The Necromonger Armada speeds through space en route to UnderVerse, but will Riddick take the vow to rule, or will he return to a life on the run?

Somewhere along the way I lost a step, got sloppy. Dulled my own edge. Maybe I went and did the worst crime of all: I got civilized. So now we zero the clock. Gotta find that animal side again…

Looks promising. As well as Twohy’s upcoming movie, which is set to hit theaters on September 6th, 2013 and revolves around a dangerous, escaped convict wanted by every bounty hunter in the known galaxy who fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before.

And, just in case you forgot the rest of the plot:

The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.

Beside Vin Diesel, the rest of Riddick cast includes Karl Urban, Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Dave Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Funk and Keri Hilson.
